Catriona Stevenson
Catriona is the Managing Director of C3 Partnership and as her title suggests, she is responsible for managing the day to day running of the business and developing relationships with our key business partners.
Catriona, like the other Directors, left a well known firm in the structured tax planning industry where she spent two years as an Associate Director, to set up C3 Partnership. Previous to the leap into the structured tax planning industry, Catriona was a senior manager at Ernst & Young and a senior manager and North West practice leader of the International Assignment Services Team at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
In addition to being responsible for the day to day management of the business Catriona also co-develops our working practices and devises (and oversees) the technical aspects of the implementation of our planning.
Charlie Garner
Charlie is a Director of C3 Partnership and spends his time developing the technical content of our structured tax planning as well as undertaking bespoke tax planning for UK and overseas based individuals and trusts. In addition Charlie develops relationships with introducers and provides them with technical support on the products as well as helping them identify new business opportunities through the use of them.
Charlie brings with him a considerable wealth of experience in all areas of taxation and trusts. He began his career in taxation with a Yorkshire based firm of accountants before moving on to a national practice and then becoming the Yorkshire and North East regional tax consultant for the world's largest provider of tax services in partnership with a High Street Bank. Immediately prior to setting up C3, he worked as a Senior Consultant for a well known firm in the structured tax planning industry where he researched and developed complex structures.
Charlie is a Chartered Tax Adviser, a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has also passed the Chartered Institute of Insurance's financial planning certificate.
Craig Herbert
Craig is the Business Development Director of C3 Partnership and spends his time developing strong relationships with introducing firms of Accountants, Solicitors and Financial Advisors, as well as meeting their clients to explain how our structured tax planning works.
Craig's career in taxation has already spanned ten years, the last four of which (immediately prior to setting up C3) were spent working in business development and sales for a well known firm in the structured tax planning industry.
Prior to that Craig spent six years with H.M Revenue & Customs where, amongst several roles he undertook, in his penultimate year he was headhunted to be part of a new compliance team based in Northern England.
Craig is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.
Andrew Cowe
Andrew is a Senior Consultant, and divides his time between business development and assisting with the development of both new strategies and existing tax products. He has extensive experience across the entire range of taxes, personal and corporate, and brings to the firm a number of new ideas and tax strategy products.
Andrew began his career with an independent firm in the East Midlands, before working with a major national practice for a number of years. He joins from a respected Yorkshire independent firm.
Andrew is a Chartered Tax Adviser, a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and also has a Business Studies degree from Leicester University.
Femi Ogunshakin
Femi Ogunshakin is a Consultant to C3. Femi’s tax career spans over two decades and covers time spent as a tax inspector within HM Revenue & Customs, as well as tax roles within KPMG, Deloittes, Grant Thornton and Barclays Bank where he specialised in employment tax and NIC planning as well as HR legal issues. Femi has also trained with a West Midlands based commercial law firm where he qualified as a solicitor in April 2011.
Femi holds an LL.M in employment law, is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Industrial Law Society and the Leeds Law Society.
Alexander Milne
Alex has been with C3 since our inception in 2009 and spent the previous 18 months learning the trade with the same former employer as the Directors, before deciding to further his career with C3.
Alex is one of our Structured Product Consultants and is primarily responsible for one of the most important jobs at C3 which is the efficient and effective implementation of our structured tax planning. This means making sure important documentation is in place for our planning to proceed and liaising with clients and introducers on a regular basis.
Alex is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and is currently studying to become a Chartered Tax Advisor.
Chris Wilson
Chris is one of our Structured Product Consultants and joined the team in September 2009. Prior to joining C3 Chris spent the previous 9 months providing high quality implementation work to another firm in the structured tax planning industry, before he decided to progress his career further with us.
Chris’s role involves underpinning our very efficient implementation team processes. Similar to Alex, this means making sure important documentation is in place for our planning to proceed and liaising with clients and introducers on a regular basis.
Chris is a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and the Association of Taxation Technicians. In passing his ATT exams, Chris received a distinction in two papers - one of which resulted in him being one of the top six students in the country.
Hannah Leatham
Hannah's role is PA to the C3 Directors and also provides secretarial support to the rest of the team. Hannah joined C3 in November 2010 having previously spent the last two years providing support to Sheffield City Council's social work team.
Hannah has a History degree and holds a PGCE.
Rhona Graham
Rhona Graham is a consultant to C3 and is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a former VAT-inspector who has specialised in VAT throughout her career. Rhona spent 20 years as a VAT Specialist with Big 4 and other leading accountancy firms and she now runs her own independent VAT consultancy. Rhona provides VAT advice to a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of business sectors and typical projects include advising on the VAT implications of:
- Liability of new products and services
- Business structuring and reorganisations
- Maximising VAT recovery and improvising cashflow
- Handling disputes and negotiations with HMRC
Rhona's practice also focuses on property transactions - a notoriously complex area of the VAT legislation and will be of particular interest to those involved in development business.
In addition to providing VAT technical support, Rhona works closely with clients and their professional advisers to ensure that her advice is aligned with the legal, commercial and other taxation issues which inevitable arise on property projects and often results in significant savings for her clients as well as ensuring correct compliance with the very complex VAT code.
Mary Gonzales
Mary is a new addition to our team, joining C3 in January 2012 as a Structured Product Assistant. Mary spent 15 months working as an administration assistant in a law firm (real estate). Similar to Alex and Chris, Mary’s role is to work on the implementation of tax planning products. This includes organizing and collating important information and documentation prior to planning as well as liaising with clients and introducers on a regular basis.
Mary holds a degree in Biology and will be studying to become a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians during 2012.
